Glen Ivery

Coach Glen Ivery is a native of Trenton, New Jersey. Growing up in the inner city, basketball was not only fun but it was a way of life. A means to express our passions, strengths, and love for the attainable. I started playing at the age of seven and grew to eat, sleep, and breathe the game. As I grew older, I participated in several recreation leagues, high school basketball, and a few showcases where there were scouts in attendance. As a father now, I have passed down the love of basketball to my children and have consistently coached and been involved since 2015. Winning YMCA championships, runner ups, officiating, and skill development, our teams as well as myself have learned the importance of discipline, drive and determination, heart, failure and triumph. Some might say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. My metaphor to that is losses teach you how to win! I am honored to be a part of this journey in learning with the teams and growing as a family and can't wait to see where the future will take us.
